The Official SSAT Study Guide Books
Only source of real SSAT practice tests. Get middle and upper level books (mid-level tests for introductory work, upper level tests for dress rehearsal practice testing prior to test day).

The Tutorverse Upper Level SSAT
Leader in off-the-shelf SSAT prep books. Diagnostic test, two full-length mock tests, and 1500+ practice questions (with explanations) reflecting recent changes to the SSAT.

Princeton Review: Cracking the SSAT & ISEE
Princeton Review books are well-known for their effective presentation of test-taking strategy and content. Includes two full-length mock SSAT practice tests.

Kaplan: SSAT & ISEE Prep
Great companion to the PR book. Includes four full-length mock practice tests. Stanley Kaplan invented commercial test prep in 1938, and Kaplan is still a major player in the industry today.

Peterson’s: Master The SSAT & ISEE
Mini-tests for synonyms, analogies, reading, and math plus two full-length practice tests make this book the next in line for SSAT prep. If possible, get the 8th edition.

Barron's SSAT/ISEE
Plain vanilla workbook, an SSAT stalwart. Two practice tests. Good ol' "drill & kill" math section. Given the dearth of available SSAT practice tests, you may need to get this book, also.

McGraw-Hill Education SSAT/ISEE
Last in line. Three more mock SSAT tests, plus verbal, math, and reading sections. Use the longer ISEE reading passages as practice proxies for those found on the latest version of the SSAT.

Ivy Global SSAT Practice
First in a favorably-reviewed series of books on SSAT prep by acclaimed prep company Ivy Global. Also on offer are specialty books for SSAT Math and SSAT English.
